PATIENT GUIDE · SEOUL

Wart or corn?
Start with what changed.

A hard or painful spot on the foot can have more than one cause. Instead of trying to identify it from a single image, record where it is, how it feels under pressure, how it has changed, and what you have already tried.

Ask what to prepare ↗

WHY THE QUESTION MATTERS

Similar-looking bumps can need different decisions.

Warts are common non-cancerous skin growths caused by human papillomavirus (HPV). They can occur on many areas of the skin; plantar warts on the sole may hurt because pressure from walking pushes them inward. Corns can also be painful because repeated friction or pressure can thicken skin. These descriptions are useful clues, not a diagnosis.

WHAT TO RECORD

Bring a short timeline, not a guess.

These details make an in-person discussion clearer and help avoid repeating an unsuitable self-treatment.

01 · LOCATION

Where is the spot?

Note whether it is on a pressure area of the sole, a toe, or another part of the skin.

02 · CHANGE

What has changed?

Record growth, pain, bleeding, spread, or a return after previous treatment.

03 · HISTORY

What have you tried?

Bring dates, photos over time, and any treatment or product history.

WHEN NOT TO WAIT

Ask for an assessment rather than cutting it yourself.

Seek clinical advice for a growth you are worried about, or if it is very painful, repeatedly returns, bleeds, changes in appearance, or is on the face or genitals. Do not scratch, pick, or cut a suspected wart yourself.
