PLANTAR WART GUIDE · SEOUL

Why does every step
still hurt?

A painful spot on the sole is not just a skin question. Walking pressure, the exact location, footwear and the history of a lesion after treatment all change the next decision.

PAIN IS USEFUL INFORMATION

Record the pattern, not only the appearance.

Plantar warts can be painful because they occur on a weight-bearing surface. Corns and other skin changes can also be painful, so a photo alone may not settle the question. Avoid cutting or digging into the area at home; repeated trauma can make the skin harder to interpret.

AFTER REPEATED REMOVAL

Do not let “still painful” become the whole plan.

Freezing and laser are established visible-lesion treatments, and some warts need more than one session. But pain that continues can also call for a fresh look at pressure points, healing skin, an incomplete response, nearby lesions and whether the original diagnosis still fits. That is not evidence that standard care has failed; it is a reason to review the full course before repeating the same step.

01 · WALKING

When does it hurt?

Note whether pain occurs with direct pressure, side-to-side squeezing, first steps in the morning, or only with particular shoes.

02 · HISTORY

What changed after treatment?

Bring treatment dates, a brief healing timeline and photographs from before and after each procedure.

03 · DISCUSSION

What can Bomyung review?

In-person consultation can review the lesion, the walking burden and whether an oral-focused Korean medicine discussion, such as Bomyunghwan, is appropriate for the individual situation.
